Dr. Gene Scott's Favorite Hymn, I Know Whom I Have Believed - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 10, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
These are back-to-back 30-second fair-use samples of the song services held by Dr. Gene Scott's father, affectionately dubbed "Pop" Scott, at King's House 1 in Glendale, California, circa mid-1985 (Sammy Lee led the UN-Band at this time).

The first part is Pop introducing the song, as he always did, mentioning that it was his son's favorite. The reason he says, "My God can do anything" just before the music starts, is that he had been talking about the preceding hymn of that title.

The 2nd part is the first of 4 verses & choruses of the song. Pop paused after the 3rd chorus, as he occasionally did to preach or comment. On this occasion he spoke about someone sitting next to Ed Masry being exceptionally joyful.

I can tell you firsthand that it was always a joy to be in one of these services, not just because of the harmony & melody, but because Pop was always so happy to be there with us praising God through songs.
