Sergio Casile, born in Reggio Calabria (Italy) on the 19th of May 1975 was passionate about music from an early age and took his first musical ‘steps’ on the dance music ‘floor’ in 1989 when he began to play for local radio stations (Skylab 91, Studio 1, Touring 104, RC INTERNATIONAL 103.7). In the years that followed he became a resident in the city’s most important clubs (Limoneto, Malibù, Maharajà, Top Club, The Queen etc.) where the music played was ‘Underground’. In 1995 he began to go to exclusive clubs and parties in Sicily (Taormina, Catania, Palermo) and after giving one of his demo tapes to the art director Nino Puglia (Atmosphere Fashion Club) he was invited to play a set on New Year’s Eve 1995 as part of the most important line-up in southern Italy featuring international DJs and Barbara Tucker on vocals. His set was a huge success and he was immediately offered a residency, inspiring an ongoing partnership with the greatest organisation in southern Italy, thanks to which Sergio has had the opportunity to play alongside internationally known DJs such as SATOSHI TOMIIE, DAVE MORALES, FRANKIE KNUCKLES, DANNY RAMPLING, TONY HUMPHRIES, DAVE PICCIONI, DEEP DISH, CARL COX, HARRY ‘CHOO CHOO’ ROMERO, KENNY CARPENTER, FRANCESCO FARFA, RALF, JOE T VANNELLI, ALEX NERI, CLAUDIO COCCOLUTO and many others.
In 1999 Sergio was offered a set with ‘WITH LOVE’ (www.withlove.com) a touring club-night in Sicily and became resident DJ for three consecutive years, collaborating with top Italian and international DJs and spreading his fame throughout Italy through live radio broadcasts of his sets on RIN (Radio Italia Network) from the clubs Marabù and Taitù (Giardini Naxos – Sicily)
Between sets Sergio began to experiment with computer programmes and master software such as Cubase, Protools, Reason, Wavelab in order to produce House/Electronic tracks.
In 2000 and until 2005 Sergio founded ‘Club House’ (www.clubhousemusic.it) with a group of friends in his home town of Reggio Calabria and it quickly became the most exclusive House club in the city mixing beautiful people and beautiful music. Club House, with Sergio Casile as the main resident revolutionised clubbing in Reggio Calabria, offering an anti-conformist and provocative theatrical setting for House and Electronic music. DJs that have guested at Club House include RALF, JUSTIN BERKMANN, CLAUDIO DI ROCCO, GIUSY CONSOLI, UOVO, DINO ANGIOLETTI, FEDERICA BABYDOL, IVAN IACOBUCCI and STEFANO NOFERINI. During this time Sergio is requested to play at some of the most important clubs in Italy: Atmosfera (CZ) Caligula (Soverato), Pilone (RC), Cliver (ME), Tout Và (Taormina), Rapa Nui (CT) Clone Zone (CT), Tiffany (Taormina) Banaker (CT), Kinki (Bologna) Exodus (Ferrara) Insomnia (Pisa) Different Party (Locri – www.thedifferentparty.com) After Hour (touring) and DJed at the MTV Dancefloor Chart at Panasia in Taormina.
On New Year’s Eve 2005, Dreamer Studio’s was founded by AD, SAX and CARLA operating from the AREA GODòO in the club MAHARAJA’ where Sergio Casile is the only resident and plays a 5-hour set every Saturday night and every May he plays alongside guest DJs (FILIPPO NARDI, JOE MONTANA, DJ ARON, DJ RAME (Pastaboys).
Since 2004 he has organised and DJed Friday nights at ‘PUB ART’, a local bar, where together with DJ Andrea Clemente he plays House and Electronic music in a 5-hour set to a packed crowd.
Sergio plays mainly House and Electronic music but has an excellent knowledge of American House (classic / vocal House) for different ambient and clubs.
