DANIELE TIGNINO is without doubt one of the most famous and prolific Italian DJ’s and producers (with more of 150 productions and remix released.)
His career began at the age of 16 as a radiophonic speaker, subsequently making it in a nightclub where his sets became a reference point for all the lovers and enthusiasts of the Sicilian nightlife.
He started producing in 1991 and with the collaboration of Vincenzo Callea and Vincenzo Graci he started publishing different singles for important italian labels such as UMM, PALMARES, NEW MUSIC, TIME etc.
In 1992, with the entry of Riccardo Piparo, came to life project TI.PI.CAL. featuring Josh (LUP rec.), that lead them to achieve several other hits, making them reach the number one singles chart in Italy, and also being remixed by important names like JOE ROBERTS (for the London rec UK), SHEILA CHANDRA (Virgin UK), BLAST (UMM It.), 20 FINGERS (Time rec) and many more, making them a reference point for ‘90s disco music.
In ’98 he started working with Pat Legato and became very well known throughout the world. They started different projects with important italian labels such as RISE rec. Soon after OXYD records and OCEAN TRAX gave Tignino the possibility to play the consoles as guest DJ in the most prestigious clubs in Italy and Europe as PACHA’, SPACE, EL DIVINO, Ibiza…TURNMILLS and MINISTRY OF SOUND London, LOVE PARADE Berlin and STREET PARADE Zurich, KRISTAL and SPACE Bucarest, HOM Dusserdolf, PARADISO, Riccione DOME, MARABU’ Sicily and many more and share the consoles with DJ’s as SVEN VATH, ERIC MORILLO, STEVE LAWLER, TIEFSCHWARZ, PETE TONG, FARFA, RALF, COCCOLUTO, ALEX NERI etc Amongst the most important productions, The LOVE BITE’S “Take Your Time” was sponsored all over the world by important labels, such as AM/PM Universal UK ; SPACELOVERS published in the UK by SONY rec. PSYCHO RADIO’s single “In the Underground” was voted “Best Single Of The Year” in 2002 by clubs and DJ’s in England. This attracted attention to projects like the English labels, the Hooji Coons, Azuli rec. Faith&hope. The project KLONHERTZ “Three girls Rhumba” became published by the label of Mr. NORMAN COOK Southern Fried for Europe. Also, he became published by SQUAT ’84 for Ocean Dark It; and AIzuli UK. Thanks to the existing friendship with Jim Kerr, the singer of “Simple Minds”, he started working with the group and brought to life numerous singles. They were then placed on the albums and played on stage by the legendary Scottish band. After ending his work relationship with Pat Legato, he began a new adventure with Ottavio Leo, discovering new sounds, shifting towards alternative and club house music. Giving them the opportunity to produce new singles for labels such as MANTRA VIBES-HELL YEAH (Italy), ELECTRIBE-MUTEKKI (Germany), AUDIO THERAPY (UK), SMALLDOG Records, (Italy) GREAT STUFF (Germany), BITTEN Rec. (Holland) JOLLY ROGER (Italy) etc.
