Dj Lab Rat

Currently a resident Dj at Club Alexander's of Jacksonville, NC (Sundays), Dj Lab Rat brings an original and innovative sound to this side of the Carolinas! Dj Lab Rat plays everything from House to Electro, fusing the Euphoric Sounds of Dance Music with the Vocals of Hip-Hop and R&B!



Dj Lab Rat (Born March 24, 1987 as Pedro Morales III) is a Dj with roots from El Paso, Texas. Lab Rat started his musical career as a young teenager at the age of 16. Changing Key-Notes, and lacing acapellas from movies, songs, and other sources to create original dance music. Originally making music as a side-hobby, Lab Rat never imagined that his obsession for listening for "That Perfect Sound" would guide him to create music extensively, and provide the crowd around with music that they won't hear anywhere else!



Shortly after graduating High School, Lab Rat enlisted for the United States Marine Corps to proudly serve his country, and to explore more areas around the world. His dream would be fulfilled, as he was sent to Okinawa, Japan from May 2006, to May 2008. During this time, Lab Rat acquired a pair of Technics SL-DZ1200's from a person selling them because he claimed, "He didn't have the patience to learn how to use them!" This was Lab Rat's calling. After purchasing the decks, Lab Rat was quick to learn how to master his newly acquired tools.



Performing for Fashion Shows, House Parties, Charity Events, BBQs and more, Dj Lab Rat had to start small before thinking big. However, his commitment as a Marine slowed his passion for pursuing a full-time job as a Dj. It wasn't until he arrived in North Carolina in 2008, where Lab Rat would introduce his love for music to the 910!



Lab Rat was searching for a club to call, "Home" within Jacksonville, NC, but could not find one with that right vibe.That was until he walked through the doors of "Alexander's" and INSTANTLY fell in Love! Welcomed by a standing waterfall near the front entrance, Lab Rat already felt a difference in this club. Wanting to play his Electro/Hip-Hop Music, Lab Rat had to perform for Hip-Hop Nights until the new "Techno Night" was established. Originally the resident for Hip-Hop Nights, Lab Rat was waiting anxiously for Techno Night to begin!



On May 3rd 2009, Dj Lab Rat along with the beautiful Co-Host, Kymberli Delorean, opened the doors for the newly founded Sunday Techno Night! With Non-Stop Electro Remixes, Drag Queen performers, Glowsticks, Go-Go Dancers, and the most Intense Crowd imaginable; Opening Night proved that Techno Night was here to stay, with Dj Lab Rat and Kymberli Delorean behind the wheel!



Spinning All-New Music week after week, Dj Lab Rat ensures that the crowd gets what they pay for, and guarantees an never-before-heard music experience!



Currently a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, Lab Rat devotes a majority of his time serving his country proudly. At the beginning of each month, Dj Lab Rat produces Mixtapes which are available for download right here on this MySpace! All mixtapes are .zip, and has the individual songs in the folder that you will download. You can use a program like Nero to burn the CDs without any pauses between tracks.
