DJ Princess Cut was born Juri Koshikawa in Wakayama Japan. In elementary school Princess learned to play the piano and expanded her love for music by learning to play the guitar later in high school. As soon as PC turned 18 she moved to America and attended The Art Institute of Dallas. There in Texas her passion for hip-hop was amplified so much that she started DJing from club to club all through the south. They named her "The First Lady of Screw" because she is the worlds first Female chop & screw DJ. For those who don't already know, chop & screw is a Texas style of slowed down music pioneered by the late great DJ Screw whom is one of PC's biggest influences. Since his death in 2000 his legacy lives on through DJ Princess Cut. When asked how hard of a job it is to carry on such a great legacy she answers " it is what I was born to do, to chop and screw for me is like the rising sun in Japan, coming up everyday ".



DJ Princess Cut doesn't only chop & screw naturally she does it well and proved it by being voted "Female DJ of The Year" by Southern Entertainment Awards. She has also had great reviews in the Source and Ozone magazines for her U.G.Q.( Under Ground Queens) mix tape that she put together with the permission of her mentor Pimp C of U.G.K. Pimp C really felt Princess Cut's swag and wanted to start a record label with her. He said "from texas to Japan we bringing it all together" before his passing in 2007. With that said by one of the greatest southern Hip hop artist that ever lived Princess Cut took it upon herself to make bringing southern music to Japan one of her life long missions, with mixtapes distributed through Universal Japan such as "Down South Hustlin". That mix album alone sold a record breaking 20,000 units in a new found market. Most cd's she mixes has its own custom intro that people around the world can adore. Her Bout to Blow mix tape series has been hosted by many Legendary Texas artist such as ESG and the platinum selling "FreeStyle King" Lil Flip. The mixtapes have a double disc, one regular disc and one screw disc that has been raved as the main attraction. DJ Princess Cut has even put the city that she loves and resides in on the map by getting major distribution for the hit single "Dallas Mic Pass"a collaboration of top Dallas artists released by Universal Japan. She continues to rep the whole south with her latest Major mix record release entitled " Hustlin'South HipHop Masterpiece" a compilation of southern artists.



Her international marketability and stunning good looks have made her a spokes model and magnet of many endorsement deals not excluding countless magazine and TV interviews worldwide such as ; The Dallas Morning News, The Source, Ozone, Mass Appeal, Street Talker, Down magazine, Bmv, Tight, 411, Bounce, Warp, Spirits, Hood magazine, Woofin, Luire, Block 2 Block and Custom Low Riding are some of the press organizations that have featured DJ Princess Cut. She also has plenty of sponsorship deals going on with million dollar companies like, Numark and Yums just to name a couple. Recently PC finished another Japan tour where she campaigned for all her affiliates simultaneously blessing the nippon people with new styles, screwed tastes and great american music that will last for an eternity. While there she chopped & screwed at the biggest arena in all of Asia (Ageha) and numerous other clubs where she was like a breath of fresh air to many suffocating crowds that had been deprived of hearing good southern hip-hop.



When DJ Princess Cut is not in Japan she continues to write articles for several Japanese magazines and does plenty interviews via internet to feed the need for the southern fused flavor she has been bringing to Asia for years. PC inadvertently gives the orient a clear view of what goes down in the south.PC is also a member of Core DJ's World Wide. The C.E.O. of the Source magazine stated that "You wouldn't expect a DJ from Wakayama Japan to be on top of the southern hip-hop scene, but Princess Cut is clearly an exception" . PC contiues to be "an exception in hip-hop" by selling more cds internationally independent than a lot of so called major artist. She produces southern beat heat and co-produces american an asian artist engineered by her own company(Princess Cut Entertainment) which is currently in negotiations with a few major labels. Still no matter what tune P.C.s laying, what continent she tours or what city she spins in DJ Princess Cut will always be revered for the rest of her life as"The 1st lady of screw music".
