Khmer Musical Instruments - Khim
A very popular instrument amongst the Cambodian people is this dulcimer type instrument called a Khim. The Khim is a Thai instrument that originated in China (adapted from Gu Zheng). At the end of the Ayutthaya empire this instrument became popular in Thailand and spreading to Laos and Cambodia later. (Thank you to แล้วแต่ Hub for this historical information).
