DJ HPNOTIQ HEATING UP THE CROWD @ CLUB LIQUID (GAMMA)

What's good world??? I was born in Jamaica Queens and moved to South

Side Queens when I was 8 years old. I've been living there for the

last 17 years. I'm a focused, hard working individual, and yes, I do

hustle hard for that paper. I've been a dj since age 17. I bought a

$16,000 dj set, cash, when I was 18, and started doing mixtapes at age

20. I am the owner of Vinyl Villanz Inc., an entertainment company I

started in 2004. We handle business for artists. We also handle flyer production and cd duplication. Currently, I am a member of the 5 time Justo's Mixtape Award winning dj team, Noize Mob, and Bum Squad DJs as well. I'm still on my g-rind, handling business everyday, every hour.hustlas don't sleep, they take naps. In the entertainment game, you have to work 10 times as hard as the next man to make it.I'm not looking for a shortcut.Hardwork.that's the only way to see success in anything you

do. Welcome to MY SPACE!DJ HPNOTIQ’s BIODJ Hypnotiq's career as a DJ began at the age of 17 when his friend got a cd mixer set for Christmas in 1999. Due to a settlement from a hit and run car accident, which nearly claimed his life in 1990 when he was only 8, DJ Hpnotiq was able to buy his own dj set at the age of 18 in 2000. His equipment included a pair of Technic 1200 series turntables, and a number of amps and speakers. Having one of the largest DJ sets in his neighborhood at the time, he became his neighborhood's go-to dj. In 2003 he got into doing clubs such as Club A in Queens, Tabu in Long Island, & Babalu's in Manhattan. After making a couple of trips to labels such as Def Jam, Interscope, & Atlantic Records, he realized that he needed more promotion & began doing mixtapes. In 2005, he had mastered the ins and outs of the mixtape game, and he built his reputation on doing that. Understanding that consistency is the key to success, he was dropping mixtapes rapidly. Gradually, DJ Hpnotiq was becoming a household mixtape name.In 2006 DJ Hpnotiq connected with artists such as Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Uncle Murda, Sheek Louch, Fredro Starr, Ice-T, Redman, David Banner, and that's just to name a few. He caught the attention of Fredro Starr from the legendary rap group Onyx, who heard a mixtape he hosted, and was asked to host his artist's first mixtape. Fredro told him, "When I heard how you hosted that mixtape, I was like, wow, I gotta get him to host our joint."In November of 2006 his friend DJ Woogie, Philly General of Bum Squad DJs, asked him to join and put him down with Bum Squad DJs. In January 2007 he joined the Noize Mob DJs. Noize Mob won the Justo Award for best DJ team 5 times in a row. In July of 2007 he got the chance to open up for Hot 97's DJ Cipha Sounds at Club Avalon. At that same time he gained a sponsorship from Royal Addiction Clothing which is co-owned by Jamie Hector who plays the character of Marlo from HBO’s “The Wire."In 2008 DJ Hpnotiq's career as a dj was really taking off. He was getting a lot of bookings at many clubs in New York. He linked with a rap duo, "Chemistry" who was signed to Loyalty Ent. On Sept. 13th 2008, Loyalty Ent. put together a concert at Times Union Center in Albany, NY, and they invited DJ Hpnotiq to open up with Chemistry. Performers for the concert were 50 Cent & G-Unit, LL Cool J, Keyshia Cole, Neyo, & Colby Odonis. It was hosted by model Angel Lola Luv, and DJ Clue was spinning between performances. DJ Hpnotiq was also the dj for the the official afterparty at Sneaky Pete's Nightclub. It was the first concert DJ Hpnotiq has ever played at or been to. "I've never been to a concert until then", says DJ Hpnotiq. "I promised myself that I would never go to one until I dj at one. That way, I would be forced to work hard and achieve my goal." His strategy definately seems to be paying off.DJ Hpnotiq started from the bottom and see's no where else to go but up. He's putting in work, paying his dues, and has his mind set on becoming one of the music

industry's greatest djs.
