DJ DOPEMAN

In 1999 DJ DOPEMAN, first started his career as a Dj member of the most notorious group “West Coast Connection” found by DJ MOTO. Since the beginning of his movement, he’s been throwing up the most legendary Gangsta rap parties such as “Gang Stories”, “052 Most Wanted”, and “California Luv”, gaining huge respect from all the G-rap freaks in Japan. He made guest appearances in many club events regularly around Tokai area, but also in a nation wide scale. Including parties co-staring many artists from the home ground of hip hop such as ICE CUBE, FROST, WC, XZIBIT, DJ QUIK, KURUPT, ROSCOE, DAMMIZA, SHADE SHEIST, LV, BOO YAA-TRIBE, RASS KAS, FOESUM, SLOW PAIN, JAY TEE, BABY BA! SH, AKWID, MR. CAPONE-E & HI POWER SOILDERS, MR. SHADOW, BIG BOY & DJ E-MAN, DJ HIDEO, HI-C, DJ COKE-E, JAE-P, MISTER D, BILLY COOK, TQ, and COOLIO. His unique Dj style surpasses the nationalities and ethic identity. Concentrating only on the theme of “Ghetto”, he spins G-rap and Soul Funk, bringing “class” to the Ghetto style and still creating huge impact to this hip hop scene.



Having another face as an influential track maker, he has produced tracks for GANXTA CUE a.k.a. TONY THA BULL, TWO-J, and M.O.S.A.D. to go into their albums. For his own mix works, he released 4 mix tapes and 8 mix CDs which made a big hit. His wide variety selection of great sounds and knowledge are highly regarded by the G’s in Japan without a doubt. Also he s been deeply involved in producing and editing of the free paper issued by W.C.C. called OUTCRY, managing and running the gangsta label DRUG FUNK which made him one of the most important members of the founder of this sacred place for the gangsta rap listeners here in Nagoya.



On the first day of year 2007, he set up his own long waited record label “GHETTO D”. His original mix CD “THE WOLRD IS A GHETTO D” which is a sequel to his popular mix CD series “THE GHETTO NAVIGATOR” is still hitting the underground chart hard as ever. Not only he continues to release his popular mix CD series “MOTHER FUNKER VOL3” and “THE WORLD IS A GHETTO D VOL2”, ( Dec. 25th 2007) he also work on discovering the talents on the youngsters. His recent collaboration was with DJ SIDE2, the owner of Side2Side Records, on “GANGSTA FUNK”.



Since beginning of year 2007, Dj Dopeman and Onedub teamed up, concentrating on producing the tracks. Because of the high quality tracks they produce, he has already made contracts with both following domestic and oversea artists; EL LATINO, GANXTA CUE, AK-69, JAE-P (LOS ANGELS), J-GREN, S.S.G., HYENA, LA BONO, ROCK DIAMONDS, MOST MAJESTIC MIND, H2, MURDER 9, 弘JUNIOR, SATT, O.G.43, ANTY the 紅乃壱, DJ OLDE-E, EQUAL, AKIRA and etc.



Especially EL LATINO’s “SUNNY DAYS” and GANXTA CUE’s “TATTOO” and “DAWN OF NEW ERA”, (hitting the Tower Record’s Indies album chart on the 2nd place), AK-69’s “DING DING DONG” (hitting the Indies single chart on 2nd place) are still doing extraordinary on the market. As a Japanese producer, he has made his debut to the major label UNIVISION by producing a track for JAE-P on his new album “ATEREVENT”. This huge success has already caused some impact and has given the chance to be known as a producer throughout the world. His future album release of “THE DOBERMAN” on 2008 has already been planned. The continuance of dropping and producing the sickest beats, his ghetto navigation keeps on going in many ways…



1997年、DJ MOTO を筆頭とする WEST COAST CONNECTION--Gang Terrorist Production--のDJとして活動開始。以来、これまでに名古屋の伝説的GANGSTA RAP PARTY "GANG STORIES" や 052 MOST WANTED , CALIFORNIA LUV 等、数多くのレギュラーイベントに出演、主催し名古屋、東海エリアを中心に日本中のG-RAPフリークから絶大な人気と信頼を得ており、全国のイベントへのGUEST出演、更にはHIP HOPの本場アメリカのBIG ARTIST--ICE CUBE、FROST、WC、XZIBIT、DJ QUIK、KURUPT、ROSCOE、DAMMIZA、SHIDE SHIEST、LV、BOO YAA-TRIBE、RASS KAS、FOESUM、SLOW PAIN、JAY TEE、BABY BEESH、AKWID、MR.CAPONE-E & HI POWER SOLDIERS、MR SHADOW、BIG BOY & DJ E-MAN、DJ HIDEO、HI-C、DJ COKE-E、JAE-P、MISTER D、BILLY COOK、TQ、COOLIO 等--とも多数共演。彼のスタイルは地域や人種にこだわらず、"GHETTO" をテーマに本格G-RAPは勿論、SOUL & FUNKにも精通しており、彼独自のハイセンスな選曲と大きな存在感で衝撃を与え続けている。



　彼の音源としては、GANXTA CUE a.k.a. TONY THA BULL、II-J、M.O.S.A.D.のアルバムに楽曲を提供。MIX WORKでは、これまで4本のMIX TAPEと8枚のMIX CDをリリースしており、インディーながらその各タイトルでBIG HITを残し、幅広い選曲から全国の"G"に高い評価を得ている。更には、W.C.C.内のfree paper OUTCRYの編集や製作、gangsta label DRUG FUNKの企画、運営に深く携わり、日本におけるGANGSTA RAPの聖地とも呼ばれる名古屋の街を作り上げてきた重要人物の1人。



　そして、2007年元旦に彼自身のレーベル "GHETTO D" を設立し、これまでにリリースされた彼の人気シリーズである"THE GHETTO NAVIGATOR"の続編 "THE WORLD IS A GHETTO D" --2007.12.25. 待望のvol.2 がリリース！！--がアンダーグランドヒットを記録中！また、他のDJとのコラボレート作 DOPEMAN & SIDE 2 "GANGSTA FUNK" や、ヒットシリーズ "MOTHER FUNKER 3" 、更に若手DJの発掘にも意欲を見せており、様々な作品のリリースを実現させている。

　更に2007年からは onodub と共に TRACK製作、プロデュース ワークにも力を入れており、そのクウォリティーの高さから早くも国内外のアーティストから高い評価を受けており EL LATINO , GANXTA CUE , AK-69 , JAE-P--LOS ANGELES--, J-GREN , S.S.G. , HYENA , LA BONO , ROCK DIAMONDS , MOST MAJESTIC MIND , H2 , 弘JUNIOR , SATT , O.G.43 , ANTY the 紅乃壱 , DJ OLDE-E , EQUAL 等への楽曲提供が続々と決定!!!



　中でも EL LATINO "SUNNY DAYS" , GANXTA CUE "TATTOO","DAWN OF NEW ERA"--タワーレコード インディーズ アルバムチャート 最高2位-- , AK-69 "DING DING DONG -心の鐘-"--インディーズ シングルチャート 最高2位-- 等が、PV やシングル、アルバムタイトル曲を続々と獲得!!! 更に日本人プロデューサーとしてアメリカのメジャーレーベル UNIVISION からリリースされた JAE-P のNEW ALBUM "ATEREVENT" にもBEATを提供し、全米メジャーデビューの偉業を成し得る快挙を果たしたことからも話題を呼んでおり、プロデューサーとしての手腕にも高い評価を得ている。 2008年には DOPEMAN 初のプロデュース アルバム "THE DOBERMAN" のリリースも予定されており、今後も様々な形で彼のGHETTO NAVIGATEは続いて行く.。
