LISTEN TO MY NEW SINGLE"MUJER"!!! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

Where, at only 19 years of age, Jae-P has recorded songs whose powerful lyrics could have been written by a much older and more experienced person. Jae-P is a survivor; a young man well beyond his years who has benefited from the advice of loving parents, and the relentless desire to succeed. He has survived the unforgiving streets of South Central Los Angeles and battled adversity to accomplish a life long dream. He begins his journey as a recording artist with a passion for truth. His parents are Mexican; his mother from Leon, Guanajuato and his father from the costal state of Colima. Jae-P was born in South Central Los Angeles where, at an early age, was exposed to the bicultural reality of his surroundings, the melding of two distinctly different cultures that influence the creation of an “Urban/Regional” life style. Jae-P, like many Latino kids brought up in the U.S identify with his predominantly Hispanic surroundings. He listened to Regional Mexican musicians such as Ramon Ayala, Chalino Sanchez, Vicente Fernandez, Los Tigeres del Norte, and Javier Solis. At the same time, Jae-P became attached to the irreverent lyrical content and infectious rhythms of African-American music. His love for the two undoubtedly laid the foundation for his own unique form of musical expression. Jae-P’s first promotional cut “Ni De Aqui, Ni De Alla,” also the title of the album, is a track that serves as a basic premise for this musical production. It’s a song that revolves around the innate immigrant feeling of not belonging, of not being part of, and of not being accepted by the adopted country or the country left behind. “Ni de Aqui, Ni de Alla” is without a doubt the common thread that weaves together the nine heartfelt tracks that comprise this unique collection of urban ”corridos.” Jae-P does not limit himself to exposing family problems and deficiencies, he also makes an open criticism of our society and raises community awareness in “Soldado Sin Querer” (A Soldier By Accident), a soft ‘bolero’ based Hip-Hop track where he pays homage to thousands of young Latinos who join the armed forces to escape poverty, obtain a higher education and a U.S. citizenship at the expense of U.S. government political interests. “Decir Que Tu No Eres”(Denying Who You Are) Jae-P reminds Latinos who suffer of culture amnesia of their roots and their origins, and the historic riches found in America’s indigenous ancestors.

Ella No Sabe April 03, 2010/ Jae-P Featuring Manny Ruiz/ Ayala Ben-Yehuda/ A few years ago, rapper Jae-P became one of the few West Coast MCs to perform almost exclusively in Spanish and also have his music distributed by a major label. Now, he's back on his own, and the commercial opportunities for Spanish-language rap that doesn't feature dance-oriented production aren't clear at this point. With his latest single, though, Jae-P takes a step in the right direction. The song—a sweet, wistful rhyme about falling in love with your best friend—even features an Auto-Tuned chorus. Jae-P's delivery is still a little tough for the material, but the string-laden hook with singer Manny Ruiz makes it just catchy enough to work.
