Growing up in the Wakefield area of the Bronx, hip hop was all around him. Decoy was first exposed to it when he saw his older brother dj'ing and having people in the house just spinning,mc-ing, breakdancing, living the hip hop lifestyle.

A cousin by the name of DJ Wize, who was out in Freeport long island was also a big influence to him. He was doing his thing with the mixtape game out there. Decoy and his twin brother would always take trips to long island to see him.



Decoy moved out to long island at the age of 14 and just basically went everywhere with his cousin, local parties , all the record stores around New York,(mainly rock-n-soul, fat beats, VP records, and house of hits)



Then he went into his own zone at the age of 17 living out in Suffolk Long Island. Practicing everyday made him become one of the most feared battle dj's. He's been in battles all up and down the east coast from (Winter Music Conference 3 years in a row in Miami, technic DMC battle in Manhattan twice and Boston once, guitar centers spin off 3 years in a row, Hot 97 local dj battles, platinum hitz battle in Riverhead, abracadabra in store battles, and so many more.)



While battling he was influenced into the club scene at the age of 18, and linked up with a promoter named cj kryptonite . At the time was recognized as one of the strongest club promoters in the game. He recognized his talent and had him dj'ing at local clubs throughout Long Island.



From there he focused on all his club skills and linked up with one of the most influential promoters, KID PANIC.



At the moment, Decoy is working on his record label/ dj crew called "Decoy Music/Turntablist takeover!" Decoy is also working on mixes which includes over 1500 different mash-ups that he created. Catch Decoy dj'ing clubs all over from ybor city in Florida to Miami to North Carolina to Vegas to New Jersey , Connecticut, Boston and all over New York(Manhattan and Hamptons).
