As easy as he makes it seem, the success Dallas Green has found is by no means an accident. Since 1997, the Harlem, NY native has meticulously crafted his career, constantly looking for ways to take it to the next level. He rapidly developed a style that has become his winning edge. Rather than sticking to just providing great sounds, DJ Dallas Green gives his audiences a performance experience, a skill which has earned him the name “The Big Show.” Equal parts talent and businessman, he made the first career leap when, as a young club DJ, he saw an opportunity to give his fans more by creating mixed CDs they could take could take home to recreate the atmosphere with his crowd motivating personality and masterful blends reminiscent of a time when New York’s Hip-Hop audiences accepted and enjoyed all genres of music. Soon, those same mixes became an opportunity for DJ Dallas Green to promote his talents to radio stations, labels and corporate clients alike. It wasn’t long before he landed his first radio show, co-hosting Get Bucks Radio on New York City’s WHUT 91.9 FM. The high profile club gigs soon followed, bringing The Big Show experience to Manhattan’s elite hotspots, including Pacha, Lotus, 40/40 and Manor. By 2000, Dallas Green had conquered the clubs, was a radio favorite, and was establishing himself in the vibrant mixtape game. Having released more than 200 mixed CDs in a three year span, he earned three coveted Justo Mixtape Award nominations: Best Skills in 2002 and Best Blends in both ’02 and ’04. He soon caught the NBA’s attention, earning a position first as the official DJ of the 2004 Rhythm ‘n Rims Tour and gaining a national fan base through the tour’s 11-city run. The same year, Green was enlisted to work on the Bad Boy Records Vote or Die campaign. New Era’s Fit For the Streets Tour came next, which also produced a limited edition DJ Dallas Green fitted cap.

And DJ Dallas Green’s grind has yet to slow down. Since his debut on the Rhythm ‘n Rims Tour, he has been appointed the NBA’s resident DJ, serving as the league’s go-to guy for all official events. He has also become a co-host of the NBA Nation tour, as it is now known, and even blogs about the experience from each stop on the tour.
