DJ Bull started making and giving away mix-tapes in 1987 in the sixth grade. In 1993, as a freshman in college, DJ Bull deejayed for the college radio station. A school organization asked him to do a party on campus that later gained the organization accolades. This would drive Bull in the direction where he became a mouthpiece for a music explosion and caused the entire Southern music scene to take notice.

He started deejaying college parties, clubs and other functions throughout Texas. As his popularity grew, he was able to pick and choose his performance venues. Bull also used his DJ success as an avenue to promote his own parties and concerts. He assembled a street team to promote venues throughout Texas, which proved more fruitful years to come when he established his own record label. The unique flavor of Bulls distinctive sound gained recognition for the industry in Deep East Texas towns where urban hip-hop was largely ignored.

In 1998, following graduation from Sam Houston State University (Business Degree) he opened and operated a mom and pop record store where he turned his mix-tape business into a record label. That same year, Bull began producing screwed and chopped CDs --- a style pioneered by DJ Screw and made popular by industry-important DJs such as Michael Watts. Since the sound has erupted in the South, DJ Bull is infiltrating it into the mainstream market.

After recruiting the most talented local emcees, DJ Bull created The Freestyle Kingz and distributed them through his very own label, Dirty 3rd Records. With the creation of The Freestyle Kingz, Bull once again tapped into the important Texas market and continued an unrelenting effort to discover every talent available.

After many years, DJ Bull became one of the most influential DJs in the emerging underground music scene. Along with established independent labels like Swisha House and Boss Hogg Outlaws, Dirty 3rd Records has applied the new Texas sound that is currently flooding the nation.

By using the mixtape market and concert performances, he was able to create a street buzz for his group and label throughout the southern and mid-western United States such as: Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Mississippi. Commercial albums and radio play have also help launch them into several different markets, like Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Colorado.

As a DJ, he remixes and produces for other artists and labels by producing screwed and chopped versions of their albums to be released commercially, thereby enabling labels to broaden their reach into the southern screwed arena. As a CEO, he owns and operates Dirty 3rd Records, but as a DJ he continues to work with the hottest artists in Texas, including Slim Thug, Chalie Boy, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, and Magno to name a few.

Currently, Bull is in negotiations with screwing and chopping projects for Chopper City Records, Colli Park and Koch Entertainment. He has struck a deal with Pimp Juice to be the official Texas DJ for their product. In addition, Dirty 3rd Records will soon land a promotion and distribution deal.
