I've always wanted to do something that had to do with music, but I wasn't sure what exactly I could do, since I have no type of lyrical skill. Putting together some mixes for my own enjoyment, I figured out that I wanted to become a producer. After graduating in 2002 from high school, I was ready to go to college to become an engineer. Plans changed, and that didn't happen. My sophomore year in high school, I became friends with someone that listened to nothing but DJ Screw and Swisha House tapes. At that time, he had a car and I didn't, so I rolled with him a lot with some 15's bumpin' in the trunk, and that's when my first interest in underground music started.

The first DJ Screw CD I ever heard was an old mix CD my cousin had put together and it had a couple SPM songs on it. Later on, I heard the screwed & chopped version of Mary-Go-Round and I started slowly listening to it ever since then. Up to that point, I was mainly listening to mainstream artists such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z and others, but soon started getting more and more interested in underground music. Some of my biggest influences for starting my interest in underground Texas music were of course Paul Wall & Chamillionaire, and the original Freestyle Kingz. Having gained a lot of interest in it, I started to learn how to chop up songs myself on my computer for my own enjoyment and making custom mix CD's for me and my friends. Eventually, I got some real deal turntables and started getting more involved in it after graduating from high school. So obviously at this point, I was no longer interested in being a producer.

I had the opportunity to work with Rasheed of Dope House Records on an album he did back in 2003 called BiZniZiZWar. I met him at a car show held here in Waco, and offered to chop up his newest album to see if he would be interested in doing anything with it. He liked it enough that he did have it released on Dope House Records and Hustle Town Distribution. Later on, I would even do his next album, 21st Century. I started doing CD's for more artists, including a couple that I've met on the chamillionaire.com forum, Yung O & G-Ni.

I really don't remember how it happened, but eventually I met Magno one day, and ended up getting an early copy of Wildlife Records' Payday Mixtape. Chopped that mixtape up, sent it back to him, and within a couple of days, it was in stores. Since then, I have worked on a few more projects with Magno, including a best of series titled MAGNOmixes with each volume having its own theme, and still have more projects on the way with him as well. About the time that Magno was starting to get a buzz, the original Freestyle Kingz had released their first album, Off Tha Chain. Along with the Swisha House & Boss Hogg Outlawz, Dirty 3rd Records was a label where a lot of my influence came from, to want to be in the music business being a DJ to a group of artists like this.

Around the end of 2005/early 2006, I met DJ Bull, and although we are both DJ's, I figured that somehow I could help contribute to the furthering success of Dirty 3rd Records. I started helping out with small stuff, such as online promotion, handling the creation and design of their official myspace pages and running an online store for the label. Later on down the road, he asked me if I would be interested in doing some projects for the label. This being the label largely responsible for where I'm at today, I gladly accepted. I have many projects with the label, including their popular series VMT and Chopped Flows. I am now a full-time member of Dirty 3rd Records and also recognized as a member of Magno's Wildlife Affiliates. Since then, I have worked with countless other artists and DJ's. To be in the position I'm in right now to be able to work with Magno, DJ Bull and Dirty 3rd Records, the people that were heavy influences on what I'm doing today, is an honor for me and I hope that we continue to do even more work together leading up to the majors.

After doing so many projects for other artists, in November of 2006 I finally started and released the first installment of my own mixtape series titled Lonestar Lean, hosted by Magno & Kyle Lee. This release already has a lot of people giving props to it and I am constantly receiving messages upon messages of artists wanting to be featured on the next one. Following this release, Lonestar Lean 2 followed, being hosted by Magno & Da Ryno. This edition was a very special edition in that this installment featured 100% exclusive material from various of Texas' finest. Some from which you know, and some soon the become very well knowns.

After the release of Lonestar Lean 4, I will be releasing a compilation album titled Lonestar Lean: The Album. This album will be similar to the mixtape series I am currently releasing in that it will be featuring the top underground artists out of Texas with 100% brand new material and original production. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and through my years of doing mixtapes for other artists, I've had the opportunity to meet many of Texas' greats. So with that said, this album will certainly feature many artists you know, and a few unfamiliar to you that are on the rise to be the next big thing coming out of Texas. And before I go further, everyone understand thisthis will be a true Hip-Hop album. This will NOT be like what you hear on the radio these days. So if you're looking for an album you can just chill and kick back to, this is the album for you. And if you're the person that jams the hell out of nothing but club/dance songs all day, this album is for you as well so you can hear what real hip-hop is about. No set date for this album yet, but you will hear soon about its release date & features. Following that release, I will also come out with an R&B album as well, so be on the look out for that, as well.
