Born and raised in Liverpool, 2Kinds introduction to the music scene came as early as 1989 when he and long time childhood friend Abyss (aka MR MENSAH) teamed up to create FIRST IN COMMAND



The duos admiration and respect for US Hip Hop producers as well as their commitment to ensure that (Lyrically) they would represent both their city and their background, helped them create the unique and unmistakeable sound of FIRST IN COMMAND.



First In Command became Liverpools first Hip Hop group to gain national recognition which culminated in 1997 when they entered and won Hip Hop Connections "Demo Blaster" competition, in which they fought off over forty other Hip Hop groups across the UK to gain the number one spot!!



Whilst working on the FIC project, 2KIND was also DJing across the UK with DJ OLABEAN & D FRESH under the collective name of LYRICAL COMPACT and following a string of successful club events in Liverpool (Big Up SpyKatcha, Who changed the whole game with the Players Ball!) 1998 saw the arrival of THE BOUNCE.



THE BOUNCE was the biggest urban event to hit Liverpool Period!! Along with THE SAINT (Big up yaself Chatch, this was all you kid!!!) and D FRESH, THE BOUNCE saw artists like TREVOR NELSON, CHRIS GOLDFINGER & MJ COLE perform in Liverpool for the first time. But more importantly to the promoters, it enabled them to put local and regional talent such as RIDGE, SPENGLER, VALENTINO, INJEKTA, FLUID IRIE, EARLY B, J RUGGED, SOUL CONTROL and of course, LYRICAL COMPACT alongside some of the biggest names in the game.



In 2001 2KIND, D FRESH & MR MENSAH hooked up again to set another milestone when they opened STATIC RECORDS which (at the time) was Liverpools only urban music store in the City Centre.



In 2006/07, 2KIND was resident DJ at some of the busiest spots in the city. On Tuesdays DUTY FREE is packed to the rafters with 1000 university students who have re-defined the word party! While on Thursdays CHALK & CHEESE @ THE OFFICE secured its position as THE place to be on a Thursday Night.



At the start of 2008, 2kind helped MEET become one of the most talked about venues in the City, While staying true to his R&B trade, he also experimented with House and Old Skool Funk and Soul and This Summer he has been scheduled in to play at THE most anticipated venues that the city has had for some time



CUBE, will be a fully purpose built night spot unlike any other Liverpool with four floors including a restaurant, cafe bar, 2 Club rooms and a balcony bar, this is certainly a BIG DEAL keep watching myspace for more information.
