FUNERAL BENEFIT

doom as a tool
for sympathy, for comfort.
i starve for you attention,
touches and good words.
if mercy was a gift,
why does it feels like a curse to me?
everything you need to know,
are all my scars to watch them grow.
i'm drowning in my loss
and enjoy the way I'm gonna die,
each gasp haunted.
(give it all to me to wallow in it like a pig.)

no need for words,
no need to mourn,
blessed is this moment we share.

with clouded gaze,
i wish you to stay,
i wish you to go,
i'm waiting to wish farewell.

in honour of you,
i will stand by your grave
and repress the distance we shared.
silence will make up our mistakes.

we plant seeds in the soil of the wasted lands.

built a wall,
stone by stone,
carve your name in every flute.
pill the bricks,
row by row,
fasten them with all your hope.
and as the lights turn dull and grey,
stand on top to overview
the beasts to hunt your soul.

so is this shelter or your way to deal with faint?
you won't be safe behind a wall your fears built.
tear it down.

on the threshhold,
for the last time,
distorted lullabies
and a womb of nails.

your muse,
a viper kissing poisoned,
you knew the price to pay.

TO WALK AS GHOST

pale, a march through the void.
on haunted roads,
two years and a day,
i've learned to live as ghost:

silence, companion.
gloom, shelter.
cipher, escapism.

my barren times, oblivious:
give in.
let go.
walk on.
find peace.
