D - Fine

Just letting you know how the name Kay - Ci came about it was when I was in about year 8 year 9 and ma mate (Oscar) gave it to me as its my initials are K.C but if you spell them how you say them it looks and sounds better!



And the person who gave me the name loved mc garage music so I wrote some back in the day and they where totally whack but I just started to do it to get things off my chest as alot of thing where bothering me and I felt really down also I had a lot of stress and the pen and the pad helped me to relieve it and show my feelings and how I felt bout people. As in my life I have things I dont want to talk about those close to me and If your really close you will know how I felt and what I went through. However everyone has skeletons in their closet and demons that haunt them, but im through all that now, but back then I was only writing lyrics to get my thoughts down on paper, and i wasn't exactly looking to do anything with them other than pretend to my self i was famous and was spitting them on stage with somebody famous well all that was about to change when I put a thing in my msn name saying " Kay - Ci Im nasty so watch it when you brush right past me " Then someone seen this and was making a Mc group so I sent them some lyrics they said they where cold! ( Which me and Lee Brookes worked on joking about) I wasnt expecting that kind of response so I recorded them and that track was the "Talk Bout Straps" song Which my lyrics had nothing to do about straps Tiggz who you might no as Fury's lyrics where more on that subject, then I just got more and more confident and wrote more and spat lyrics more and more thats how I go to where I am now. At one point after I made my own crew and we split up, I was going to quit that was after Superman Returns as I jus couldnt be bothered with all of us falling out over music! i learnt a while back friends mean more to me than anything prefer respect however a close friend James Dunne told me it would be a waste of talent so I was like ok well if you say that then im going to go for it still thanks Dunne, so now I look for the things that happen in real life and I like to tell a story with my lyrics as I like to grip the people who listen to it so if they understand and can really get into my point of view or let them know it isn't them that all this stuff has happened to and that there are more people out there who have been through the same things, " Superman Remix " has had people saying yeah I get you I can relate to that, so that is what I aim to do tell a story people can relate to. I am from Bolton and im not trying to sound all solid and shit but where i lives is one of the ruff areas and i lived on the ruffest street, as a baby then i was in a hostel until we could find a house however i have grown up in Manchester since I was a kid and now I would not want to be part of any city but Manchester! and that is the area that I proudly represent. I am currently on roads with a new crew, Im trying to get on roads with BURROWS, M16, SWIFTY and Medley a few tallented artist who call them selves " Sickenin' Scripts" and we jus get together and spit lyrics and enjoy ourselves party get wasted and we generally do want to be herd on roads but not dominate them but get the respect off people who understand the song's. The tracks are big usually and generate such a huge response from the people who understand what we sing about. We have been referred to as the untouched hype and we like it like that where people recognise us and just say keep it up. And no doubt we have go haters but who hasn't? we jus ignore them and keep pushing things forward and hope for the best, people do recognise us and ask us to spit lyrics, I usually cant remember mine though and do try to remember them, but give me time or catch me after a heavy record session and ill spit so long as I have a beat! And will people stop asking me to shout out your names in songs unless its a set which I dont generally do then I wont as it sounds stupid! unless Im singing about you then I will shout you out or record me in the street and ill spit saying old tight on this one or something. I like to write as I can say in lyrics what I can't generally say in real life don't have the courage to speak freely or i cant say things because the memories behind them are so deep. And then on the 22/10/2006 i changed the name to D - Fine as i wanted a name that ment something and decided i needed to swich up my style, after speaking to my mate who manages me James Dunne who has a impact on all my music! and sets up everything i need, we decided the name Kay - Ci was aight but needed something better. So we got onto Swifty who is soon to be setting up a advertising campain to get the name around of D - Fine.
