BIOGRAPHY



Dezz Jones (aka Michael Dodman) has been producing and DJing since the tender age of 13. It all started when a friend bought round a copy of the

Dreamscape - Extra Sensory Perception (Mixed by Slipmatt, Sy and Randall)' compilation album. From then on Dezz was hooked on the fast electronic beats and twisted melodies that was the make-up of dance music. As time went on Dezz' musical preference swayed from Drum 'n' Bass and Old Skool to the fast growing UK Garage movement.



When he was still only 16 he entered the Moist Records production competition. The task was to remix DJ Lewi's classic Hold Me Tight. He won the competition and although the release that was promised from winning fell through it spurred him on to work harder at actually pushing his music forward.



Roll on a year or so and Dezz got his first chance at a full vinyl release. After sending out a few promos and doing some guest interviews on pirates across London, most notably, Vybe FM, he was noticed by Top 10 selling artists, Distant Soundz. The track Don't Let Me Fall ft Mary Turner was released in early 2003 on Vocal Explosion Records and was an instant favourite of Shine FM and is still sought after now.



6 years on Dezz is still consistently releasing material and remixing for a host of artists and labels. He has current worked with/remixed for labels/artists such as: Atlantic Records, Ministry Of Sound, Data, AATW, Wiley, Hadouken, Donae'O, DJ Deekline, Low Deep, J Majik & Wickaman and Katie May. Dezz is currently concentrating on 3 new projects as well as his solo stuff and the highly popular Dezz Jones vs D&G collaboration.
