A surprise hit for Trojan producer/performer, Robert Thompson aka Dandy Livingstone, 'Suzanne Beware Of The Devil' had been championed by top radio DJ, Emperor Rosco, who helped push the single into the UK pop charts in the Autumn of 1972.

The record, which had originally been penned by Thompson for fellow Trojan artist. Nicky Thomas, entered the Top 50 on 2 September of that year, eventually climbing to Number 14 on 7th of the following month, spending a total of 11 weeks on the national chart listings.
