Di Nigunim - Our Own Parade - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 25, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Balagan (2008)
Lyrics:

Shafts of light caress my face
as I walk towards our own parade.
An onion in my pocket,
bandana 'round my neck
with my beloved until death
Shackles can be shattered
walls can be torn down
these walls that confound
through prolonged struggle across generations
I will leave this world on my own two feet!
All mournings feel the same
a new dawn we will gain
through LOVE and LAUGHTER
and DIRECT ACTION
I have got my love
my friends and family
I've got my struggles
and my anarchy
You'll never shackle me
we'll lay waste to your fucking walls
wrest what we deserve
your weakened grip
that illegitimate clout is starting to crumble!

Di Nigunim's first release will keep your dancing feet moving until you can no longer feel the floor. This EP captures the raw bursting energy and unique sound of the eastern european balkan klezmer gypsy punk with a complete balagan infused spark. The melodies and heart-felt vocals will keep you sweating and singing until we're all dancing on the ashes of fallen empires... l'chaim!

We basically support all forms of protest that oppose, disrupt or smash our fascist corporatocarcy, war machine, racism of all types, homophobia and other intolerant plagues, whether it tears at the roots of the system, or helps the victim of domestic abuse in your neighborhood take back her freedom.

We love music, it's so much fun, but we know that life can never be truly fulfilling for us while our sacred earth is being plundered (animal agriculture, damning, Alberta tar sands...), the monstrous military industrial complex continues its deadly love affair (Iraq, Afghanistan, washing group int.''
