The PVC melting transformator had fallen over and I had to wait till the night to set the device up and energize the day after.
It worked. Yield was around 40 wasps.

The exterminated wasps did fall back into the nest where they became food for the other non-participating wasps.

Still the 5.6 kV Capacitor set up is best.

Wasps are declared a plague in New Zealand as they have no natural predators. They affect native insects, bees, butterflies and caterpillars.
