DESCRIPTION:
This medley was performed at the 2014 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards to honor the late Dennis Kamakahi. His wife Robin requested that the group perform it again at his Celebration of Life, held on Saturday July 5, 2014 on the Great Lawn of the Bishop Museum in Honolulu. L-R: Stephen Inglis (who recorded an award-winning album with Dennis), Patrick Landeza (Dennisʻ Godson), Danny Carvalho (a student of Dennisʻ), David Kamakahi (Dennisʻ son and a member of the multiple award-winning group Waipuna), Matt Sproat of Waipuna, Kale Hannahs of Waipuna, Jon Yamasato (long-time friend who also recorded albums with Dennis, David, and Mike Kaawa under the group name Nā ʻOiwi); and on keyboards producer Shawn Livingston Moseley.
