Yes. Yes it is. Weeks in the making, I can finally bring you the Bughouse I Mixtape, the first in a (hopeful) line of cassette compilations featuring bands totin' the Not Normal Tapes flag. This mixtapes features such amazing bands from the midwest-ish, like Bugg, Baghead, The Floor Above, American Hate, Chuckleheads, Negative Scanner, Leech, Boots, Common Ignorance, Youth Sucks, Otherized, Coltranes, Tenement, Chud, and The Bug. And holy shit, are a number of these tracks fuckin' unreal. The tapes a mix of unreleased tracks, live audio, or just re-recordings of past songs. For some of the bands, it's been a minute since their last release, so this mixtape was their brutal return. You'll immediately notice growth in talent in the bands, namely The Bug. It seriously sounds like a whole 'nother band, a Lumpy & The Dumpers abortion, a brilliant mess, a nice return to one of my favorite bands. This tape also exposed me to a coupla great bands I've never heard, whom of which quickly found a spot in my music library such as the Chuckleheads or Leech. I'm sure many of you will experience the same thing, so I urge you to listen to the whole tape from beginning to end. Every track here is fucking phenomenal: not a single track do I ever skip. Which, in my experience, is a rare occurrence, and a true testament to a great compilation.

If you've been interested in getting your hands on this tape in the past, you either picked it up a physical copy yourself, or tried to find the comp online. And, if you attempted the second method, I'm sure you were only left with what you could scrape from Not Normal's Bandcamp. And cheers to my first hour-long video. I've actually had an idea for an hour-long or so vid for the channel a while back, but I thought it was kinda stupid. I thought that it'd be cool to slap together a mixtape myself, made up of whatever tracks I were fond of at the time. It coulda been a series n' all, but then I thought to myself "Who'd actually sit down and listen to some dip's compilation of HIS favorite music, let alone save it to their computer?" But then again, that's kinda what this whole channel is, so maybe it isn't so stupid.
