Elbow Strike, as the name suggests offers a hard hitting rock funk sound, precise, decisive and unique. With this album, the latest project by Chris T Bradley, songwriter, musician and globetrotter. Show three years of experimental work between composition and completion ‘Planning Great Adventures’ emerges as bright and sharp as a lightning bolt. With its 11 powerful songs ranging from stoner rock, hard rock, grunge, southern rock and beyonD.Elbow Strike‘Planning Great Adventures’ is a concept album. It lends itself to a childhood fascination of Chris T Bradleys’ the main theme being ‘Aliens’. As a young boy, he first heard the stories of alleged sightings, the conspiracy’s, the hidden facts. This intrigued him greatly and he continued with his path to gain further knowledge.Special Guest in this Album E1Ten on vocal, Front man of ‘Gotcha AllStarz, who also collaborated with Funkadelik, George Clinton. Marc "Swazi" Sokpolie “Track Addicts” on Bass.
the elements and originality that characterize the project are supplied mainly by the personality of Chris T Bradley, who has toured throughout America, Europe and Asia .
It was during these travels and with his attentive ear and his ability to incorporate an entire international music vibe, all was absorbed and adapted to make it his own. This culminated in a recipe absolutely personal and unique.

Elbow Strike, musica come un colpo (di gomito) delle arti marziali. Secco, preciso e deciso. Così è il progetto di Chris T Bradley, songwriter giramondo. Tre anni di lavoro tra composizione e studio, pianificando mirabolanti avventure per dare luce a questo disco. 11 canzoni di rock potente che spazia dallo stoner, all’hard rock, al grunge, southern rock e molto altro.
Il titolo «Planning Great Adventures» è nato ancor prima delle canzoni stesse, come spiega l’autore: «Sono un avventuriero, ho viaggiato tantissimo. Per viaggiare (e non da turista) devi essere coraggioso. Anche nella musica devi esserlo. E devi cercare di diffondere energia positiva, se sei pessimista non puoi trovare quello che c’è di bello al mondo».
Scritto ad occhi chiusi e di getto nel suo nucleo essenziale, in gran parte in Thailandia (a Tokyo, invece, è nata la canzone Tokyo Town), per essere poi completato e registrato in Italia, a Trieste (e masterizzato a The Vault Mastering Studios di New York): «Mi è arrivata l’ispirazione e l’ho scritto di botto. Non è troppo cerebrale, è una cosa emotiva. È un disco rock. Può piacere a chi è dentro al power pop all’hard rock, all’heavy, anche ai più duri. I suoni sono cattivi. Ma la potenza si incontra con la melodia, su dei ritornelli che sono forti ma rimangono orecchiabili, ti restano in testa». Tra i riferimenti si può scorgere anche la fissa per una band in particolare: «Dentro il mio disco ci sono tanto i Clutch, una band in cui credo molto. Fanno musica per niente scontata, super rock molto funky groove con sonorità anni 70, con tanto cuore però anche tecnica musicale ed è per me la vera comunicazione, la vera arte» spiega Bradley. Altre fonti d’ispirazione sono i Foo Fighters, Raging Slab, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden.

Al di là delle influenze, i tratti di originalità che caratterizzano il progetto sono dati soprattutto dalla personalità dell’autore, che ha girato America, Europa e Asia con un orecchio attento a recepire tutta la musica internazionale, che ha potuto assorbire e fare propria. Tutte le esperienze, i viaggi, le contaminazioni sono state rielaborate in una ricetta assolutamente personale.

Ospiti del disco sono E1Ten, artista olandese e cantante dei Gotcha AllStarz! cresciuto con George Clinton,Funkadelic; sue sono le voci in Stoneman e Waiting For the Sun e Marc “Swazi” Sokpolie, che suona il basso in maniera fantastica in Waiting For the Sun. La collaborazione con i Gotcha AllStarz! avrà sicuramente seguito nei live (e nel loro disco in uscita a febbraio 2014 ci sarà la voce di Bradley a prestare i cori in una canzone: a luglio 2013 ha partecipato alle registrazioni del nuovo album dei Gotcha! e ha cantato assieme al leader della band E1Ten in «Free As a Bird»).
