Deadweight

Deadweight hails from the St. Cloud and Minneapolis area. The band itself consists of drummer Alex Benham, bassist Nick Meyer, guitarist Neil Meyer, and vocalist Billy Parrott. The current lineup was conceived in December of 2009 after Billy joined on. The current sound of Deadweight can be compared to a shotgun blast inches from your face; it might melt your face and it will smell like metal!. Deadweight has evolved throughout the years into their currently blend of meticulous riffs, powerful drums, thunderous bass, and driving vocals. This sound has caught the ear of many listeners in the St. Cloud and Minneapolis/St. Paul scene and has led to Deadweight performing with the likes of Motograter, Flaw, Powerman 5000, Bobaflex, and Rikets to name a few. After a brief break to fine-tune their sound with Billy as the front man, Deadweight has been gaining much momentum as of late. They recently finished their 4 song EP and have been hitting the streets hard to get their music in front of as many listeners as they can. Those that have had the opportunity to see Deadweight, know that there is chemistry that translates to a very impressive live performance. This live performance oozes with energy and never leaves the audience disappointed. Expect big things from this band as they continue to deliver some of the best metal that Minnesota has to offer.
