Rounding off a strong year, Welsh power house Earl Jeffers serves up four massive edits on his new label to see out 2016 with a BOOM!!! It's been a busy 12 months, with EPs on Ten Thousand Yen and a huge release on Melange featuring that thumping edit of Donald Byrd's - Change (Makes You Want To Hustle), Jeffers has got his uncompromising 4x4 sound nailed. It was a tough one to decide what to feature from this latest release, with the A side containing the previously digital only version of Alicia Myers' edit, I Want To Thank You, which is a belter of a track with a great vocal sample. In the end, it had to be the B side edit of Chic's, Dance Dance Dance, because it's a beast! It starts by bringing the piano, bass and guitar parts from the verse of the original to the front and accompanying them with hand claps that eventually lead into a unrelenting heavy kick drum. This is then followed by distinctive vocals and sweeping strings from the original creating a house disco juggernaut. Looking forward to hearing this on a big system over the NY.
