This fund's purpose is to support the arts by offering grants for creative dreams big and small, with a vision that opportunities and resources for artists not only help individuals reach their own potential, but also deliver tremendous value to communities, fostering collaborations and experiences that bring people together.

“Sing It! The David Egan Songbook” will bring an unprecedented lineup of musicians together in celebration of the life and legacy of musician and songwriter David Egan, who died in March 2016. Marcia Ball, C.C. Adcock, Roddie Romero, David Torkanowsky, Kristin Diable, Buddy Flett, Kevin Gordon, Steve Riley, Michael Juan Nunez, Dave Ranson, and Mike Sipos will be along for the entire run, with additional special guests joining the show each night.

The mini-tour will open in Lafayette on Thursday and Friday, March 23 and 24, 2017, before heading to New Orleans on Saturday, March 25, and Bossier City on Sunday, March 26.

Egan’s songs have been recorded by a who’s who of music industry legends including Etta James, Joe Cocker, Solomon Burke, Irma Thomas, John Mayall, Percy Sledge, Marcia Ball, Johnny Adams, Tab Benoit, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Trout Fishing in America, A-Train, Filé, The Bluebirds, Lil’ Band O’ Gold and many others.

Special guests each evening will include Irma Thomas and Papa Mali (New Orleans) Sonny Landreth, Ward Lormand, D’Jalma Garnier and Pat Breaux (Lafayette shows); ; A-Train (Bossier City); Nathan Williams and Paul “Lil’ Buck” Sinegal (Thursday night in Lafayette).

The mini-tour is supported by Healthier Air for All, The Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation, Margaritaville Resort Casino, OffBeat magazine, Mattress Plus, and Musicians for Smoke-Free Louisiana.
Tickets for each show are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 day of show, available via www.DavidEganSongs.com.

The mini-tour is being produced by Todd Mouton, Rhonda Egan, and C.C. Adcock.
