Mixmag Tune Of The Month (July)

Dave Curtis is fast becoming one of my favorite artist's in the Hard House game these days, I've been flogging 'weekender' like nobody's business and Dave has created another gem that proudly sits in my record bag and does the rounds at gigs. Hard House Rools is an intoxicating tune with some very clever stabs including a great panned stab over an awesome off beat bassline (with some variation thrown in for good measure).

Now you may be thinking 'Ben this all sounds like a really great track but what makes it so special?' I'll tell you why It's because Dave's creative (and humorous) way of building into the main breakdown. When you have a track with a vocal that says 'Reach for the lasers' you know you're in for a ravetastic time! What follows next is something I can't really explain because it deserves to be heard and to be experienced with no knowledge of what happens next.

This track deserves to be in every hard house DJ's arsenal!
