The component parts that make up the monstrosity that is known as Datura read like a who’s who of the North Carolina metal scene. Members Kellie Gates (vocals), Allen Foster (lead guitar), Raymond King (rhythm guitar), Adam Cohen (bass), and Brian Watson (drums) have graced stages across the state and beyond for years with various bands, while opening for the likes of Crowbar, GOATWHORE, Dismemberment, Black Dalia Murder, Between The Buried And Me, Darkest Hour, Battlemaster, Artificial Brain, and the list goes on. Formed in June of 2014 in Raleigh, NC, Datura’s music lives and breathes with its own bestial pulse – a true Frankenstein’s monster blending death, doom, and thrash that stalks the listener with terrifying intellect and attacks with devastating force.
