Uploaded In Loving Remembrance of Darryl Read who passed away 4 years today (23 June 2013).
Terry Stamp & Darryl Read walked into Regent Sound Studios in early 1972, and laid down in 20 minutes, Stamps stunning RAZOR CITY composition. Stamp was the front man composer of the Proto Punk group Third World War, and Read had been the instigator and drummer of first Punks group: CRUSHED BUTLER, in late 1969. Stamp & Read threw down this mean version of this Proto Punk track; Stamps flaying Chopper guitar and hard-core vocals, and Read's earth shattering Premier drum kit almost breaking the studio mics, creating distorted genius. The demo recording led to Stamp clinching a major deal with AM records. The recording was the beginning of a song writing collaboration between Stamp and Read - that was to span over twenty years. The pairs later works can be heard on the Darryl Read's Book of the Dead album recorded in LA 1988.
Stamp continues to be a 70's punk enigma as does Read, who became a lead vocalists/ guitarist, song writer and poet; who's recent works include 3 albums with Ray Manzarek of the DOORS, the last being in 2007.

This release was made possible, as Read had the only existing copy of the master tape demo in his archives, which was tweaked and enhanced by Rob Raw in Berlin. Sit up and dig into these two masters of Punk - Stamp & Read smashing out!
