Reggae icon Maxi Priest was the headlining act at the Naniki Music Festival, following opening act, the Spicerock Band, who is managed by Sunshine Promotions' Manager and well-known Grenadian promoter, Ian Judah St. Bernard. which took place on May 16th, 2015 at The Grenadian by Rex Resorts.
The festival, formerly known as Naniki Caribbean Jazz Safari, has rebranded as Naniki Music Festival to include a more diverse musical lineup.
Executive Producer of the show, Tom Hinds, said he is proud of the move to evolve and include other musical genres. He launched the new concept at the Barbados leg of the festival in January to rave reviews from patrons.
Naniki Music Festival, a musical experience which moves from island to island, is not new to Grenada. Last year’s show featured Jamaican artiste and winner of the NBC’s “The Voice”, Tessanne Chin.
