DESCRIPTION:
Bairbre Munnis, a young and vibrant singer songwriter, is one of Ireland's fastest emerging talents. Her style and delivery have been compared to the likes of KT Tunstall, Missy Higgins and Vanessa Carlton.

Hailing from Dublin, Bairbre has been steeped in music since day one. Playing piano from an early age, her song-writing talents then emerged. She has gained considerable experience in the world of live performance having shared the stage on various occasions with Paul Brady, The Coronas and Ben Mills (XFactor) to name but a few.

Bairbre was a winner in the RTE 2FM Songwriting Competition, the final of which was broadcast live from Vicar Street, and she also has over 13,000 hits on BalconyTV ........ and was nominated for their Best Female Act.

Since then she has appeared in venues nationwide including Vicar Street, Crawdaddy, The Village, The Ruby Sessions, Watergate Theatre & Mullingar Arts Centre amongst others.

Bairbre has completed several recordings including two EP's, on these she has been joined by Liam Genockey (drums with Steeleye Span & Paul Brady), James Blennerhassett (bass guitar with Mary Black & Paul Brady), Conor Donovan (drums with Damien Rice & JackL), Dan O'Connor (guitar with Boss Volenti) Kevin Cassidy(guitarist with Mar Mar sings) and her brother Dara Munnis as producer and arranger (of Doctor Leaves & keyboards with JackL)

Her songs and singing were recently featured in "Roy", a 2009 CBBC series aired on both UK and Irish screens.
