DESCRIPTION:
A behind the scenes look, plus clips of the onslaught of my "Mixing It Up" show of remakes and originals which began in August of 2010. For years I refused to play cover songs and would only play songs that I had written. The gigs were few and far between. In 2010, I decided to give the remake concept a shot but only under two conditions. The conditions were that I would be allowed to play almost 50% original songs, as well as to be able play the remakes the way I would play them if I had written them myself.

My two buddy's Dean and John who own the Black River Barn in Randolph NJ, had been asking me for years to play a gig there. However, I was an original artist, and the venue was suited for cover bands. I would pass on it. I rethought to play there when they agreed to bring in my "Mixing It Up" show. As it turned out we did a gig that turned out to be lots of fun and I continued to book there for a period of time. I realized that I could try out new songs, kick back and chat with the crowd and it became all about having fun with no pressure.
