DESCRIPTION:
Here I (Thomas Lorenzo) am playing with Flamenco Guitarist, Dani Figures, in my home in Barcelona.

The tune we are playing is called Someday my Prince will Come. It was composed by Larry Morey (lyrics) & Frank Churchill. It is a popular song from the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, that was released by Walt Disney in 1937.

It has been recorded by many great jazz artists as: Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Grant Green and Oscar Peterson.

I am particular fond of the chord progressions that create a very pleasing forward harmonic motion to improvise on.

Thomas Lorenzo is a Flamenco Jazz composer and guitarist living in Spain, originally from Australia. Dani Figueras is a Flamenco guitarist and composer, born in Madrid and disciple of the Flamenco guitar master: Rafael Canizares.

Flamenco is a form of musical expression based upon: specific rhythmic patterns, structures (consequence of lyrics and possible dancing) and characteristic harmonic textures.

In this video we apply the rhythm, how chords and melody are played in the style, to a non traditional harmonic structure, as found in the composition called: Someday my Prince Will Come. The overall feeling is of increased excitement through such an active rhythm.
