There are many slovak music bands, which should deserve more attention than they are actually given nowadays. One of them is band named Longital, which is my favour- ite. And that is the reason, why had I chosen this topic for my final exam ́s work. It ́s music video. Song Zlatá (My Dear) from album Teraz (Now) gives different opinions, ideas and images to everyone, because of its abstract lyrics and catchy melody. My work is to create my image and make a spectator to become familiar with it, all in the form of animation. Animation is a kind of a film art, and that is why it has a lot to do with composition, story and setting to it, which are things typical for film.
Animated videoclip Zlatá (My Dear) is kind of a story about the fight with the fear, which is the feeling what has roots in our heads. Fear has image of something evil what is suddenly appearing everywhere we look around us -- it is just on us what we can imagine behind it. Unceasing changing of setting in which is the main character placed, has to express the passing of time and simultaneously is trying to picture the idea, which is continuously changing substance and it creates at first sight unusual associations. From the beginning, the dark athmosphere and the feeling of uncertainty is sooner taken over by the light aspects, which plays an important role in a story, where they give hope to a main character. If she wouldn ́t „be afraid of the fear", but would try to uncover the deeper meaning of things, in this depth she could find freedom.
