Hi, my name is Danielle Danz. I began expressing my passion for music at age 5. My father was a pastor, so it was only natural for me to get my start in church. I remember writing my first song at age 7; I titled it "Jesus is Lord". Shortly after that I began to teach myself to play piano/keys. I was self-taught in my musical talents, but most importantly give all the credit and glory to my Heavenly Father for these natural abilities.
By age 16, I found myself shifting from a biblical foundation to a more mainstream platform. I began performing throughout Orlando several nights/ week, and was gaining much interest within the mainstream music industry. I thought I was 'on my way', and nothing was going to stop me from reaching the top. I spent the next 7 years performing live, recording my first album, and trying to make my way up the difficult ladder to success. After many years of promises and disappointments, it seemed as if I had hit a dead end. Rather than performing for the love of the art, I found myself performing at bars in an attempt to pay my bills. It was not the 'big dream' I dreamt all those years ago. I felt as if I had given everything up for my career, and it just wasn't giving much back. Little did I know that God was working behind the scenes all those years.
I met my wonderful husband in 2005, and things haven't been the same since. He is a distinguished musical professional, amazing drummer, and an inspiration that was God sent. After several years, God put it on both our hearts to start recording a Christian album together. We are currently still in the recording phase of our first Christian album together, titled "Sheep Songs, The Collection". I won't say that this process has been without flaws, but it is in those flawed moments that God can really shine through us. 2 Corinthians 12:9 states, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. We are both so excited for what God is doing, and can't wait to see what He does with His work in us.
God promises to leave the 99, just to find the 1. We all get lost along the way in this journey called life; it's what we choose to do with the experience that counts. I am just so glad that God left the 99 to come find me. What once was a story full of let downs and disappointments, God turned into my strength & a message of hope for others. God will take our junk, and trade it someday for a crown! I pray that our story and music can be an inspiration to all those that God puts in its' path.
