Dance Electric

It has been a couple of years since Dance Electric released their first record “We are Dance Electric.” Since then the band has evolved into something darker and heavier; their newest record “A Penance for Your Thoughts” is indicative of their growth.



Trying to meet an unreasonable self-imposed deadline, A Penance for Your Thoughts was recorded and produced by Collin Young (of the famed Love and Terror Cult) over an intense month long period. Dance Electric aimed to create a record that was more brutal and abrasive than their debut release while maintaining those elements that made We are Dance Electric so memorable. Abiding by their punk-rock roots, A Penance for Your Thoughts is a scathing criticism of an indoctrinated world, expressed with the bands satirical flare and proficiency in creating a shitload of noise.



A Penance for Your Thoughts also marks the introduction of a new member of Dance Electric. After original drummer Tori Tizzard’s amicable departure from the band, Dance Electric called in long-time friend Rob Molinaro to fill in on drums. Though Rob had very big shoes to fill, Molinaro’s enthusiasm has made him a vital part of the band.



Even though Dance Electric has experienced much change and many challenges in a very short period of time, it has not discouraged the band in the least. Always full of passion and intensity, Dance Electric intends to continue their mission; spreading the gospel of auditory destruction.
