The Bells of San Miguel
Words and Music by Scott Damgaaard
from the album, "The Bells of San Miguel"
I took all of the photographs in this video while I was in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for a week in 2007 with four really good friends. The inspiration for this song, "The Bells of San Miguel" came from this trip. We were staying in a house next door to this parish that had twin bell towers, and the bells rang all day and all night. Between the bells, the people, the music, the food, the drink, the architecture, the garden, the street market and the slow moving feel of the place itself, it was a wonderful time for my friends and me.

LYRICS:
The Bells of San Miguel
Words and Music by Scott Damgaard
I remember the cold cervezas
The fine tequilas and senioritas
And I remember oh so well
The bells of San Miguel
In La Fragua, Fede played the guitar
As we drank margaritas at the bar
As the band played, they danced to the tango
Astor Piazollo, no "Besame Mucho"
I remember the cold cervezas
The fine tequilas and senioritas
And I remember oh so well
The bells of San Miguel
In the market out in the street
Every Sunday everybody meet
In the Colonia de San Antonio
By the parish and the Pizza Pronto
I remember the cold cervezas
The fine tequilas and senioritas
And I remember oh so well
The bells of San Miguel
In the garden of delight
The moon was full, the time was right
It's a masterpiece in garden art
It's a hard act to follow, si
I remember the cold cervezas
The fine tequilas and senioritas
And I remember oh so well
The bells of San Miguel
I remember the cold cervezas
The fine tequilas and senioritas
And I remember oh so well
The bells of San Miguel
The bells of San Miguel
