Daf is a very simple and old percussion instrument in Middle Eastern music with a powerful sound. You play it with your hands, (not with sticks). Its structure is a wooden ring which is covered by a goats or sheeps thin skin. Both the music and lyrics are expressing the Daf as onomatopoeia.
It is one of the first songs Namjoo ever performed live at a concert, (1996) in the campus of the Tehran University.
