http://bombonem.com/ With the release of The Illustrious coming later today, we only found it right to give you an in depth look at the man they call STS aka Sugar Tongue Slim. Earlier in the evening we caught a live show of STS and the one thing I really took note of was how much energy came out of him when he hit the stage. I mean he went from Clark Kent to Superman in a matter of seconds. The same was to be said for our interview. When we met up with Slim after the show he was kind of quiet, probably tired from recording all day and working that night. Once the camera started rolling though, he let us know the deal. We spoke on the origin of his name, his transition from poetry into the rap game, his lyrical inspiration, how he prepares to write a 16, meeting with Jay-Z at Def Jam, being a self described Atlantadelphian, how he linked up with Black Thought and became a part of the MMJB, a regular day in the life, pop culture, what to expect from his album and of course what he wanted to Bomb On! This was one of our first interviews before the blog was even up (you can tell by our old cameras) so for that we really want to thank STS and a big shout out to Jah as well. G.O.L.D.!!!
