Dedications

Throughout the history or our great country, the men and women of the US military have served in the name of making a better place for generations to come. I wrote "After The Shock And Awe" to pay tribute to the veterans who have served in the current wars. Our country owes a debt of gratitude to all veterans of all generations. This is just a small token of our appreciation.

I would be remiss if I did not share the story of the involvement of the Belleville-Henderson Central School with the world. As we were preparing for the video for this song it occurred to me to include the Pledge of Allegiance in the opening lines of the song. We recorded an outline in the studio in Nashville and the stage was set. Big thanks to Cayden and Nairyha who did the original voiceovers. When I contacted The Belleville-Henderson Central School, the response was overwhelming. Mrs. Scherer immediately set to work recruiting students, preparing the chorus, and paving the way for what became an incredibly successful video. Thank you once again to the Mrs. Scherer and the Belleville-Henderson Central School.

As a final note, please remember our veterans every day. Your kind words and actions go a long way. Anything from a simple thank you to wonderful programs like Volunteer Guides For Veterans that cast member James L. Goodness hosts. The Livin In The USA album where this song was first released is once again dedicated to The American Gold Star Mothers. Part of the proceeds from that album and the Star In The Window album are donated to The American Gold Star Mothers.
