Curious Primate, a group, a habit, an addiction. Four guys named, Jon, Erik, Matt, and Tony. Between the ages of twenty one and twenty five, we're far from our prime, but past our adolescence. From four different towns in three different states, Illinois, Nebraska, and California, we reside in Santa Monica, Ca. Brand us anyway you want, we don't know what to call our music but our influences range from Funk to Jazz, Rock to HARD ROCK, from experimental to noise, from Zappa to Zeppelin. We each call it something different, I call it Fusion, but what it comes down to is it's just really fun and we can't seem to hear what we play anywhere else. There's a lot wrong with the world, we wish we could fix it, we can't, haha. You could though, we're just too busy with day jobs and rehearsal. But we have lots of good ideas if you need some to make things better for us all. We aren't a band that goes on about ourselves but if I had to say just a few things I'd say this. Curious Primate is a band that cares about music, listens to as much of it as we can. We try to have fun and get away with as much as possible, on and off stage. We do our best to get along as much as four twenty something boys can, we've been together for about three years now, and haven't killed each other yet. We've played just about everywhere in L.A. and a couple places outside it, including Las Vegas, UCSB, and Tony's Mom's house. We've come out with a demo, a full album(which is available on itunes) and a music video. Check out the Video or Buy the CD at our new pro website, WWW.CURIOUSPRIMATEMUSIC.COM. We aren't looking for a free ride or to just get rich quick, we want to tour, we wanna play every night to a packed house, and most importantly we wanna connect with the audience of people we know are out there but just haven't had an opportunity to hear us or see us play as of yet. Life's short, we've each gone off the right track that most of our friends from back home or people from our lives have taken, we respect this route but just feel like we could do more for everyone by expressing ourselves musically. I'd like to say we're as real as it gets. Check us out though, like I've said before we write better songs then I write bio's. now on with the show.
But anyway, you're here already explore the site, we'll do our best to keep it as up to date as possible. We're already really proud of it and it can only be a platform to start a community of friends and fans. So. sign the guestbook, write in the forum. buy a cd, buy a t-shirt. Whatever!
