Music Choices

Sometimes my artistic inclination
is suppressed of expression
because I adhere to known moral standards.
Of particular mention is my choice of songs
used for my YouTube videos.

I usually refrain from very sensual or sexy songs
unless there are request for specific song
from my Miraculako subscribers
to which I respond to and make the song
albeit my own apprehension
that I'd be judged for the songs
that appear on my channel.

But starting Valentine 2014,
I have decided not to be pigeonholed
by other people's perception
of what constitutes decency.

I am sensitive to the moral persuasion of music
and the influence songs has over the youth
but barring my own fear of ridicule
or rejection from the bigoted mindset of some,
I will now choose the songs I prefer
notwithstanding the presence of sensuality.

After all, I am definite that
even my would-be sexy choices
is tame compared to the graphic
and explicit display done
by other video-makers on YouTube.

I am 53, it's time for me to be braver. MLG
