KIRK WINDSTEIN: CROWBAR 'Symmetry In Black', Leaving DOWN & Playing at Dimebag's Murder Scene! - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 07, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Kirk Windstein is synonymous to crushing riffs that seek vulnerable ears and destroy them without mercy. His guitar tone is recognizable by millions of Heavy Music fans worldwide, and as result imitated by almost every band out there. Many can try to sound like Kirk, but there is only one man that can write musical riffs, being a father, and now a husband.

After being an active musician for 25 years, you would think that Kirk is ready to slow down and lay back. The truth of the matter is that when it comes to the circle of hard-hitting musicians that come from New Orleans, they play music from the heart and not even a devastating hurricane can stop them from spreading their music like a wild fire.

The future is very bright for Windstein! His baby, CROWBAR, will be releasing their 25the anniversary album 'Symmetry In Black' (available on May 26th in Europe via Century Media Records and on May 27th in North America via EOne Music). We recently visited the EOne Music headquarters and had a really cool chat with the "Riff Lord" about CROWBAR's NEW album! During the interview, which you can watch below, we had also discussed the importance of writing musical riffs, playing at the Alrosa Villa (scene of Dimebag's murder) and his relationship with Philip H. Anselmo. Watch the interview now!
