Lyrics- My lungs won't work, they'll kill me soon, and mine is the face of euthanasia. But my last year's changed everything, I take it back, and long for what I've lost. My last year's been all the same, no one will help, no gods to heal, now this is my fate: my lungs won't work, they'll kill me soon. It's too late. I'm too sick. I'll leave with you these words: Find what your soul can most deeply love and give yourself to it.

(Richard's) Explanation: This song is about Allan Glenn. I never knew Allan and I only heard about his condition when it was announced that it had killed him. When I looked into Allan's story, it touched me as I suppose it would any compassionate or otherwise emotional person. Infected with Cystic Fibrosis, Allan faced a certain death. As he tells the story, he had come to accept his fate and called himself as "the poster child for euthanasia." However, after falling in love with "the girl of [his] dreams," Allan's attitude towards his condition changed. He became consumed with a newfound desire to live that was sparked by having something, or, in Allan's case, someone to live for. It is too late to help Allan. The only thing for us to do is to learn from Allan's story. That's what this song is about--what I learned from Allan Glenn. It seems to me that the greatest tribute we can pay to Allan, now that he is dead, is take inspiration from his story and live our lives with greater meaning and awareness. The way Allan taught me to do this is found in the last line of the song: to "Find what your soul can most deeply love and give yourself to it."
