Tom Drenon III was born in Jesup, Georgia. His most vivid childhood memory is listening to country music with his father who also played guitar and hearing Dolly Parton's song "Joshua". He found himself keeping the tempo and beat to the music. He remembers at that moment; he decided he wanted to be a drummer. He has to this day, never questioned that calling in his life and never compromised his desire to play drums and entertain as his life-long career.

In the late eighties, Tom moved to Atlanta to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta, where he studied studio engineering and entertainment management, so he could gain an understanding of the business and technical side of the industry. In 1989, he was an honor graduate from this institution with an Associate's degree in Music Entertainment Management. He began work at a high profile recording studio called Master Sound where he was an assistant engineer. At Master Sound, he worked on projects with such artists as Atlanta Rhythm Section, Jermaine Jackson, Jackal, and a solo project for Ronnie Hammond (lead singer for ARS). He also worked with such respected producers as Buddy Buie, Brendan O'Brian, Warren Tuttle, and Jeff Tomei. He moved to Nashville in the late nineties to follow his dream of playing music! After arriving in Nashville, Tom toured with Hank Williams III, the Fox Brothers, and Rick Monroe, did sub jobs with Charlie Daniels and Wade Hayes, and played a high profile gig in town at the Tin Roof with a band called Henry and the Seahawks. The CreekHouse Recording Studio, in his home, continuing many different freelance performing and recording jobs.

As 2005 was coming to a close, he got the call that Darryl Worley was holding auditions for a new drummer. Tom is now a member of “Darryl Worley's band “The Krew” and has been with Darryl since January, 2006. Tom spends his time between playing on the road and recording with Darryl and working with artist in the studio producing all types of projects in all types of genres of music!!
