INTERVIEW

ø1 - What is your producing set up ?

My producing setup is in a constant change. The actual workflow starts
with an elektron machinedrum that I record in multi channels in Ableton
Live. I often work some sounds with a moog slim phatty and small synths
like the Werkstatt or the Monotron.
I rework, EQ and mix everything in Ableton Live.
As I just moved house I don’t have a studio yet so the main part of the
process is made on headphones during my train trips to work.

My actual live setup (Often changing too) is made of an Octatrack, the
Machinedrum, a Dave Smith Tetra 4, a Doepfer Dark Energy, a Kaoss Pad,
an echo pedal and an analog mixer.

ø 2 - Where do you pick up your inspiration ?
I don’t feel that I find much inspiration before starting to work on
something. Most of the time I start with simple loops and pattern that I
break in little parts and start playing with that. Working on dynamic,
effects, transitions frequencies and so on. By working on the sound of
rhythmic parts I keep on doing until I can feel harmony and notes
developing in my head.

ø 3 - Tell us more about your collaboration with Creaked Records.

It has been active for the last 11 years and has more then 50 release
in different styles of music but always with a clear relation to
electronic music. I’m just one beyond many other artists who had the
chance to work with Léo Wannaz (label owner of Creaked). We met between relative friends after a gig in a Festival in Switzerland.
Then I did a remix for the label and this was the beginning. In the names of artists who collaborated with the label for releases or remixes you can find Scuba, Hrdvsion (Nathan Jonson) or Sutekh for example which already makes it pretty exiting.

ø 4 - Some words about your next projects and releases ?

I have several project on the go but no releases I can already talk
about.
There will be my 3rd EP on Creaked around autumn-winter 2016 and some
releases on other labels are in discussion.
Recently a new track came out on the latest LCRW Series with other
tracks from Radial, Liss C and JoyB. I have several remixes that came
out recently on Creaked Records, Lunar Limited or Nachtstrom
Schallplatten. And new remixes are keeping me busy before the next EP
and will come out during the next months on Adroit, Ravage and Burst.

So, my track of the moment is : Delicatezza from Architectural on
Wolfskull Records
