I'm staring at your photo
you're only five years old
back then when your gods were
paper and crayons

You're in your mother's arms
a breeze has messed up your hair
but you know that I did it
cause somehow I was there

For us there's only here and now
we've taken this eternal vow
we're made of that stardust stuff
infinity is all we have

On and on we're born and die together
On and on we roll with this cosmic wheel
On and on we shift shapes and colors
On and on we smile cause nothing is real


I see those blurry figures
in the photo's bright background
there must have been some angels
blessing you all around

It seems you're in a hurry
to draw the path we're on
and the only thing you need is
your paper and crayons


Black holes swallow stars
galaxies collide
but we're that kind of oneness
nothing can divide
