On the face of it, there's barely an ingredient here that hasn't been cribbed from someone else. The screaming twin vocals, the churning riffs and abrupt time changes all scream the names of a score of different screamo acts, but there's something in the way this Norfolk quintet cook up their sonic stew that makes it sound both vital and fresh. Adding fantastic songs, sweet pop melodies and just a hint of Every Time I Die's swaggering southern rock tendencies, this is an EP to set Deaf Havana for bigger things to come.
