DESCRIPTION:
The Manipur band The KOI perform their song Loktak Pat Ki Hi Honba (For the Boatmen of Loktak Lake). Sung in Meiteilon, the indigenous language for the Meitei. The Koi are joined in the song by the special guest artist, Mangka Mayanglambam of Lauhui.
The video is shot in the protected and sacred forest area above Chakpa Phayeng village in West Imphal. Presented here to share with the public, with permission of The Koi, Mangka, Laihui. Directed by Byron Aihara for Seven Sisters Music project.
