DESCRIPTION:
This is an arrangement I did for classical guitar of the Prelude for the Cellosuite no.1 by J.S. Bach, BWV 1007. Usually, guitarists transcribe this piece to the key of D major, but I choose to transpose it to A. The reason for this is that it's nearer to the key of G so that it sounds closer to the original. Also I feel A major resonates better on guitar.
The music is performed on a Vowinkel classical guitar. The location is the Provincial Historical Archive of Overijssel, The Netherlands (HCO - Historisch Centrum Overijssel). In the background is artwork by Dutch graphic artist, Gijs Dragt.
